History
My work benefits from my history. Trained 'Traditionally" - working on die transfers and "C prints", my career threads through the evolution of technology, from the original digital graphic systems, to current desktop applications. I have been a Lead Retoucher, a Trainer, a Freelance Consultant, a Retouching Manager (for both Ogilvy Mather and Publicis Mundo Com). Whatever my role, though, I have always striven to be professional.
As important as is my history, it is Artistry that I believe separates me from many in my craft. Delivering pleasing and powerful imagery, while respecting the artists in the process - starting with the Photographer and Art Director.
I believe strongly in the creative process and always want to be in a position to influence the artwork be it in a small or larger way.
Artistry
Good Business
The creative ideal is the goal, but working with budgets and schedules is the reality. I am committed to a process that achieves the ideal but satisfies "Good Business". All work will be done with clarity and an understanding of budget, deliverables and schedule. I will make sure all aspects of the project meet or exceed expectations.
The Offer
High End Retouching that includes 3D, and original art production. Production knowledge and fluency with color management is part of what I offer. The art produced will be ready for the needs of the end media: Web, Print or out of home. Layered art will be provided as the needs dictate, or the request be know.
Welcome
I grew up believing that I would be happier living out in the "country" Plenty of space around lots of alone time. Working in NYC for many years plus key moments for me - the ticker tape parade after the Gulf War and New Yorkers pulling together after 911 have change me. I love people and I love New York. I have also had the benefit to work with top notch professionals and have enjoyed inspiring synergy. I feel like a happy warrior. Looking forward always to challenges and the relationships that form from those challenges. There's not much else to say other than looking forward to meeting those challenges with you.
